Our Core Beliefs
What We Believe
We have adopted as our Confession of Faith a slightly revised and modernized version of the Abstract of Principles. It is a summary of what we believe as a church and is anchored in God’s Word and in continuity with historic Christianity. It encourages sound doctrine, protects us from error, and shows unity in Christ.
Our Mission
Redeemer Baptist Church exists to love God, one another, and the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, bringing Him glory through worship, obedience, and a life shaped by His Word.
We believe life together in the church is a gift. We want to walk in love as Christ loved us, serve one another, bear one another’s burdens, and use our spiritual gifts to build each other up. Our aim is to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus, encouraging one another toward faithful, joyful obedience.
We also want to love the world because God has loved the world by giving His Son. We seek to love our neighbors through ministries that bless our local community and through lives that show the compassion and truth of Christ in everyday relationships. We support gospel work that reaches beyond our city as well, longing to see people from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation come to know Jesus and praise God.
All of this is only possible through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is how God saves sinners, and it is also how believers continue to grow in Christlikeness as we follow Jesus together.
Where We’re Going
Our Vision
Our vision is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ in Asheboro and beyond.
We want to be a church family that is grounded in God’s Word, devoted to prayer, and marked by Christlike love. We aim to worship with reverence and joy, grow together in spiritual maturity, and care well for one another.
We also want to be a people on mission. We seek to share the gospel clearly, serve our community faithfully, and support the work of missions as God sends and provides.
By God’s grace, we desire to see lives changed by the gospel, families strengthened, and Christ honored in our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
